Tourism stewards in Monterey County and Yosemite National Park each have approached challenges with constructive solutions.

 

Here are their stories.

 

In Monterey County, the convention and visitors bureau is proactively dealing with sometimes dangerous tourism activities with a multi-faceted communications campaign called “Sustainable Moments.”


 

 

Yosemite officials are grappling with increasing vehicle traffic at one of the nation’s most popular national parks, but building more parking spaces is only part of the answer.
